Death. Bentong suffered from a cardiac arrest on February 9, 2019, and was rushed to the Fairview General Hospital in Quezon City where he was declared dead on arrival.
Bentong was born on 12 January 1964 in Tabaco, Albay, Philippines. He was an actor, known for Jologs (2002), Ikaw lamang hanggang ngayon (2002) and Yes, It's Loved If Loved (1999). He was married to Cecille Bernal. He died on 9 February 2019 in Quezon City, Philippines.
Bentong Kali and his accomplices engaged the officers in a firefight. He was shot in the head and killed; his accomplices also died in the scene. His remains was laid to rest on 2 July 1993, three days after his death. His last rites was performed by his son.
